1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Jarvis Technologies ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") regarding your use of the Lawyer Diary Pro mobile application and web platform (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, downloading, installing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Service Description

Lawyer Diary Pro is a professional case management application designed specifically for legal professionals. The Service provides the following features:

• Case Management: Create, edit, track, and organize legal cases
• Court Date Tracking: Calendar view and reminders for court hearings
• Document Management: Attach and store case-related documents and photos
• Custom Lists: Manage courts, case types, and legal sections
• Contacts Management: Store and manage party, advocate, and important contact details linked to your cases
• Reports: Generate case reports and analytics (Premium feature)
• Cloud Sync: Synchronize data across multiple devices
• Notifications: Push and local notifications for upcoming court dates
• Offline Mode: Access and view cases without internet connection

The Service is provided "as-is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with or without notice.

3. News Feed and Third-Party Content

3.1 News Feed Feature

Lawyer Diary Pro provides a news feed feature that displays articles and updates related to the Indian judicial system, legal developments, and the legal profession. This content is automatically aggregated from third-party sources and publicly available legal news publishers.

3.2 Editorial Neutrality and Non-Discrimination

Content Neutrality

We maintain strict neutrality in content aggregation and do not favor any particular:

• Religious beliefs or communities
• Caste, creed, or social groups
• Political parties or ideologies
• Regional or linguistic preferences

Our app serves legal professionals of all backgrounds equally and without discrimination.

No Editorial Bias

You acknowledge and agree that:

• News content is automatically aggregated based on legal relevance, not editorial preference
• We do not selectively promote or suppress content based on religious, caste, or political considerations
• Any views expressed in news articles represent the original publisher's perspective, not ours or Jarvis Technologies'
• The automated nature of content aggregation ensures neutrality in content selection

Inclusive Service

Lawyer Diary Pro is committed to serving all legal professionals regardless of:

• Religion, caste, or community background
• Political affiliations or beliefs
• Regional, linguistic, or cultural identity
• Gender, sexual orientation, or personal characteristics

We respect the diversity of India's legal community and uphold the constitutional values of equality, liberty, and fraternity.

Content Standards and Reporting

While we aggregate content from reputable legal sources, we do not endorse content that:

• Promotes discrimination or bias based on religion, caste, community, or political beliefs
• Contains inflammatory religious or political rhetoric
• Violates principles of constitutional equality enshrined in the Indian Constitution
• Demeans or disparages any community, religion, or group
• Incites hatred, violence, or intolerance

User Responsibility: You are encouraged to report content that may be inappropriate, discriminatory, or inflammatory. We will review reported content and may remove sources that consistently violate these standards.

3.3 Third-Party Content Disclaimer

You acknowledge and agree that:

• No Guarantee of Accuracy: We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of any news content
• Third-Party Responsibility: All news content is the sole responsibility of the original publishers
• Independent Verification: You should independently verify any information from news articles before relying on it
• Not Legal Advice: News articles are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice
• Automated Aggregation: Content is automatically aggregated without editorial intervention, ensuring neutrality but not guaranteeing quality

3.5 Intellectual Property Rights

All news content displayed in the app remains the intellectual property of the original publishers. We display this content under fair use principles for informational and educational purposes. By using the news feed feature, you agree to:

• Not reproduce, redistribute, or republish news content without permission from original publishers
• Respect the intellectual property rights of content creators
• Use news content for personal, non-commercial informational purposes only
• Access full articles through links to the original publisher's website when available

3.6 External Links

News articles may contain links to external websites. When you access these links:

• You leave the Lawyer Diary Pro application
• We have no control over external websites
• We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of service of external websites
• You access external websites at your own risk
• External websites may have different editorial policies and may not follow our neutrality standards

3.7 Content Removal and Moderation

We reserve the right to:

• Remove any news source from our feed at any time
• Discontinue the news feed feature without notice
• Remove specific content if we receive valid copyright infringement claims
• Block or filter content reported as discriminatory, inflammatory, or inappropriate
• Suspend or remove sources that consistently violate our content standards
• Implement content filters to maintain neutrality and appropriateness

3.8 Copyright Infringement

If you are a copyright owner or authorized representative and believe that content in our news feed infringes your copyright, please contact us at support@elawyerdiary.com with:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
• Description of the infringing content and its location in the app
• Your contact information (email address and phone number)
• A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
• A statement that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

We will investigate valid claims and remove infringing content promptly.

3.9 Limitation of Liability for News Content

3.10 User Responsibility

As a user of the news feed feature, you agree to:

• Use news content for informational purposes only
• Not rely solely on news articles for legal advice or professional decisions
• Independently verify any important information
• Consult qualified legal professionals for legal matters
• Respect intellectual property rights of content creators
• Report inappropriate, discriminatory, or inflammatory content
• Understand that automated aggregation may occasionally include content that does not meet our standards
• Exercise your own judgment when consuming news content

4. User Accounts

4.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account using one of the following authentication methods:

• Apple Sign-In: Available for iOS users (recommended)
• Google Sign-In: Available for all platforms

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4.2 Account Security

You may optionally set up an MPIN (Mobile PIN) for additional security. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your MPIN confidential
• Not sharing your account access with others
• Logging out from shared devices

4.3 Account Restrictions

You may only create one account per person. Multiple accounts for the same individual are prohibited unless explicitly authorized by us.

4.4 Cross-Platform Account Linking

We implement secure account linking to provide seamless access across devices and platforms:

Apple Sign-In Users

When you use Sign in with Apple, we store your Apple User ID to enable:

• Seamless sign-in across different iOS devices using the same Apple ID
• Account recovery if you sign in on a new device
• Prevention of duplicate accounts for the same Apple ID
• Subscription access across all your devices

Google Sign-In Users

When you use Google Sign-In, your Google Account ID enables similar functionality across Android, iOS, and web platforms.

Single Account, Multiple Devices

Your subscription and data are linked to your account (not your device), allowing you to:

• Access your cases from any device where you're signed in
• Subscribe once and use premium features on all platforms
• Switch between devices seamlessly with automatic data sync

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Subscription Plans

Lawyer Diary Pro offers the following subscription plans:

• Free Plan: Limited to 10 case entries or 1 month of usage (whichever comes first)
• Monthly Premium: ₹150 per month - Unlimited cases and premium features
• Yearly Premium: ₹1,500 per year - Unlimited cases and premium features (save ₹300)

5.2 Payment Processing

Subscription payments are processed securely through platform-specific stores:

• iOS Users: Payments processed through Apple App Store (iTunes Account)
• Android Users: Payments processed through Google Play Billing

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to:

• Provide accurate payment information to Google Play
• Pay all applicable fees and taxes
• Authorize recurring charges for subscription renewals

We do not store or have access to your payment card information. All payment data is handled by Google Play in accordance with their terms and policies.

5.3 Automatic Renewal

To cancel your subscription:

For iOS Users:

• Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad
• Tap your name at the top
• Tap Subscriptions
• Select Lawyer Diary Pro
• Tap "Cancel Subscription"

For Android Users:

• Open Google Play Store on your device
• Go to Menu → Subscriptions
• Select Lawyer Diary Pro
• Tap "Cancel Subscription"

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until then.

5.4 Refunds

Refund policies vary by platform:

iOS Users (Apple App Store):

• All purchases are subject to Apple's refund policy
• Request refunds directly through Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
• Or contact Apple Support for refund requests
• We do not process iOS refunds directly

Android Users (Google Play):

• All purchases are subject to Google Play's refund policy
• Refunds within 48 hours may be granted at Google's discretion
• Contact Google Play customer support for refund requests
• We do not process Android refunds directly

5.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will not affect current subscribers until their next renewal period. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases.

5.6 Cross-Platform Subscription Access

Premium subscriptions purchased on any platform grant you access to premium features across all platforms:

• Subscribe on iOS → Access on iOS, Android, and Web
• Subscribe on Android → Access on iOS, Android, and Web
• Your subscription is linked to your account (email), not your device

Account Linking

Your subscription is tied to your authentication account (Apple ID or Google account), not to a specific device:

• Sign in with the same Apple ID → Premium access restored automatically
• Sign in with the same Google account → Premium access restored automatically
• One subscription covers unlimited devices under the same account

5.7 Subscription Verification and Refresh

Your subscription status is automatically verified with Apple/Google servers to ensure accurate premium access:

• Automatic Verification: The app periodically checks your subscription status with Apple/Google
• Manual Refresh: You can manually refresh your subscription status at any time via Settings → General Settings
• Renewal Detection: Auto-renewal status is monitored and updated automatically
• Expiry Detection: Daily automated checks detect expired subscriptions and update account status

This ensures your premium access is always accurate and up-to-date with your actual subscription status in the App Store or Play Store.

5A. Apple App Store Specific Terms

5A.1 Acknowledgment

You acknowledge that:

• These Terms are between you and Jarvis Technologies only, not with Apple
• Jarvis Technologies, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Service and its content
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services

5A.2 Scope of License

The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use the application on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.

5A.3 Maintenance and Support

Jarvis Technologies is responsible for providing maintenance and support services. Apple has no obligation to furnish such services.

5A.4 Warranty

In the event of any failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service.

5A.5 Product Claims

Jarvis Technologies, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to:

• The Service or your possession/use of it
• Product liability claims
• Failure to conform to legal or regulatory requirements
• Consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation

5A.6 Intellectual Property Rights

In the event of any third-party claim that the Service infringes intellectual property rights, Jarvis Technologies, not Apple, is responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.

5A.7 Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that:

• You are not located in a country subject to U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country
• You are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties

5A.8 Third-Party Beneficiary

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

5A.9 Contact Information

6. Free Trial

6.1 Trial Period

New users receive a free trial with the following limits:

• 10 case entries OR 1 month of usage (whichever comes first)
• Full access to all features during trial period
• No credit card required for trial

6.2 After Trial Expiration

When your free trial ends, the following restrictions apply:

• ✅ View existing cases (read-only access)
• ❌ Cannot add new cases
• ❌ Cannot edit existing cases
• ❌ Cannot access reports and analytics
• ❌ Cannot manage courts, case types, or sections

6.3 Upgrading During Trial

You may upgrade to a Premium subscription at any time during your trial period. Your trial will end immediately upon subscription purchase.

6.4 One Trial Per User

The free trial is limited to one per user. Creating multiple accounts to abuse the trial system is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension.

7. Acceptable Use

7.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree to use the Service:

• For managing your own legal cases and professional work
• In compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• In a manner that does not infringe on others' rights
• Respecting the intellectual property rights of others

7.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent trial limitations
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Use the Service in any way that could damage our reputation
• Store contact information of third parties without appropriate authority or in violation of applicable data protection laws

7.3 Professional Responsibility

8. Contacts Feature and Third-Party Personal Data

8.1 Overview of the Contacts Feature

Lawyer Diary Pro includes a Contacts feature that allows you to store and manage contact details of parties, advocates, and other persons associated with your legal cases. The app also provides an optional device contact picker to auto-fill contact fields in case forms.

8.2 Device Contacts Permission

The device contact picker is entirely optional and user-initiated. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:

• The app will request permission to read your device's contacts when you first use the contact picker
• You may grant or deny this permission at any time without affecting your ability to use other features of the Service
• The app reads only the single contact you explicitly select — it does not access, upload, or sync your full contacts list
• No background access to device contacts is performed at any time
• You may revoke contacts permission at any time via your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts; Android: Settings → Apps → Lawyer Diary Pro → Permissions)

8.3 Storage of Third-Party Contact Data

When you store contact details of third parties (clients, opposing parties, advocates, judges, or others) in the app, you represent and warrant that:

• You have appropriate professional authority to record and store that person's contact information in connection with the relevant legal matter
• The storage of such data is consistent with your obligations as a legal professional under applicable bar council rules and professional conduct guidelines
• You will maintain appropriate confidentiality over all third-party contact data stored in the app, consistent with attorney-client privilege and professional secrecy norms
• You will comply with all applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction, including (where applicable) the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its associated rules, GDPR, or equivalent regulations
• You will not store contact information of any person for any purpose other than legitimate case management

8.4 Communication Actions

The Contacts feature provides quick action buttons (Call, SMS, WhatsApp) for saved contacts. You acknowledge that:

• These buttons open your device's native Phone, Messaging, or WhatsApp application — all communication takes place outside the Service
• We do not log, monitor, or store any calls, messages, or communications you make through these actions
• WhatsApp is a third-party application subject to its own terms of service and privacy policy
• You are solely responsible for any communications you initiate with contacts through the app

8.5 Our Obligations Regarding Contact Data

We will:

• Store all contact data you enter securely in Firebase Cloud Firestore, protected by the same access controls as your case data
• Never share your stored contact data with other users or third parties
• Delete all contact data upon account deletion, as described in Section 11
• Not use contact data for any purpose other than displaying it back to you within the Service

8.6 Limitation of Liability for Contact Data

You acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of contact information you enter
• We are not liable for any consequences arising from incorrect, outdated, or improperly stored contact information
• We are not liable for any breach of professional duty, data protection law, or confidentiality obligation arising from your use of the Contacts feature
• We are not responsible for any communications you make using the call, SMS, or WhatsApp action buttons

9. User Content

9.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create, upload, or store in the Service ("User Content"), including:

• Case details and descriptions
• Client information
• Documents and attachments
• Photos and images
• Custom lists and notes
• Contact details of parties, advocates, and other persons associated with your cases

9.2 License Grant

By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Store and process your content on our servers
• Display your content back to you in the application
• Sync your content across your devices
• Create backups of your content

We will NOT:

• Share your content with third parties (except as required by law)
• Use your content for advertising or marketing
• Sell or license your content to others
• Claim ownership of your content

9.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of your User Content
• Obtaining necessary permissions for any content you upload
• Ensuring your content doesn't violate any laws or third-party rights
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive client information

9.4 Content Backup

While we perform regular backups, you are responsible for maintaining your own backup copies of important data. We recommend regularly exporting your data.

9.5 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that:

• Violates these Terms or our policies
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains illegal, harmful, or offensive material
• Is reported by legitimate rights holders

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Our Property

The Service, including its design, features, functionality, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Jarvis Technologies and is protected by:

• Copyright laws
• Trademark laws
• Patent laws
• Trade secret laws
• Other intellectual property rights

10.2 Trademarks

"Lawyer Diary Pro" and the associated logos are trademarks of Jarvis Technologies. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written consent.

10.3 License to Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and use the mobile application on your devices
• Access and use the web platform
• Use the Service for its intended purpose

This license does NOT include rights to:

• Modify, copy, or create derivative works
• Reverse engineer or decompile the application
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service
• Remove proprietary notices or labels

11. Account Termination and Data Deletion

11.1 User-Initiated Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination:

• Your account will be immediately deactivated
• You will be unable to access the app or your data
• Your data will be retained for 30 days to allow for account recovery
• After 30 days, all data will be permanently deleted

11.2 Two-Phase Deletion Process

We implement a two-phase account deletion process:

Within the 30-day grace period, you may recover your account by:

• Providing your registered email address
• Confirming your identity

Upon successful verification, we will restore full access to your account and data within 1 business day.

11.4 Company-Initiated Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Your account shows signs of unauthorized access or compromise
• Required by law or legal authority

In such cases, we will notify you via email and provide an opportunity to export your data before permanent deletion.

11.5 Data Export

Before requesting account deletion, we strongly recommend exporting your data:

• Navigate to Settings → Account Management → Export Data
• Download your case data in CSV format
• Save uploaded files separately (bulk export not available)

Once data is permanently deleted after 30 days, it cannot be recovered.

11.6 Subscription Cancellation Upon Termination

If you have an active premium subscription when terminating your account:

• The subscription will be automatically cancelled in our system
• You will not be charged for future billing periods
• You retain premium access until the current subscription period ends
• Refunds (if applicable) are subject to our Refund Policy
• You should also manually cancel through the subscription platform:
  • iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  • Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions

11.7 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your account:

• Your license to use the app immediately ceases
• All data associated with your account will be deleted as per our deletion timeline
• Any outstanding fees or charges remain due and payable
• Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability: The Service is fit for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement: The Service doesn't violate third-party rights
• Accuracy: Information in the Service is accurate or complete
• Reliability: The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Security: The Service is completely secure or virus-free
• Data Loss: Your data will never be lost or corrupted

12.1 No Legal Advice

12.2 Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including but not limited to:

• Firebase/Google Cloud (hosting, authentication, storage)
• Sign in with Apple (iOS authentication)
• Google Sign-In (cross-platform authentication)
• Apple App Store (iOS subscriptions and payments)
• Google Play Store (Android subscriptions and payments)
• Apple Push Notification Service (iOS notifications)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications)
• Cloud Functions (subscription verification and automated tasks)
• WhatsApp (third-party communication app launched via contact action buttons)

We are not responsible for:

• Availability or reliability of third-party services
• Changes to third-party services or policies
• Actions or omissions of third-party service providers

13. Limitation of Liability

13.1 Types of Damages Excluded

We are not liable for damages including but not limited to:

• Lost profits or revenue
• Loss of data or information
• Business interruption
• Missed court dates or deadlines
• Professional malpractice claims
• Loss of goodwill or reputation
• Cost of substitute services
• Any other intangible losses
• Any breach of professional duty or data protection obligation arising from your use of the Contacts feature

13.2 Maximum Liability

In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,500 (whichever is greater).

13.3 Exceptions

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13.4 User Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that:

• You use the Service at your own risk
• You are solely responsible for meeting professional obligations
• You should maintain independent systems for critical deadlines
• You should regularly backup your data
• You should verify the accuracy of all information in the Service
• You are solely responsible for the lawful storage and handling of third-party contact data you enter in the app

14. Termination

14.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Using the "Delete Account" option in the app settings
• Contacting our support team at ldproapp@gmail.com

Upon account deletion:

• Your User Content will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• Backup copies will be deleted within 90 days
• Active subscriptions will remain active until the current billing period ends
• No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods

14.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

• You violate these Terms or our policies
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• You abuse the Service or harm other users
• Payment for your subscription fails or is disputed
• We are required to do so by law
• We decide to discontinue the Service

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your account:

• Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
• You lose access to all User Content
• Subscriptions and licenses are immediately revoked
• Provisions that should survive termination remain in effect

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify users through in-app notification
• Send email notification for significant changes
• Provide at least 30 days' notice for material changes

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and may terminate your account.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

16.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16.2 Jurisdiction

You agree that any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

16.3 Dispute Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to:

1. Contact us at ldproapp@gmail.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally
2. Provide a detailed description of the dispute and your desired resolution
3. Give us 30 days to respond and attempt to resolve the issue

16.4 Class Action Waiver

To the extent permitted by law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class action or representative action.

16.5 Time Limitation

You must bring any claim within one (1) year after the claim arises, or the claim is permanently barred.

17. Miscellaneous Provisions

17.1 Entire Agreement
